Can I use the 2-week free trial bot to get an account funded?
No, the trial bot doesn’t connect to live or funded accounts. It operates exclusively with NinjaTrader’s free 14-day trial simulation (sim) account. The goal of this demo is to let you experience how bot trading works — not to generate profit during the trial period.
For reference, our full / paid Bot Portfolio tools give traders access to multiple bots and deeper performance data. Most members who use the full system reach funded status within 3–4 weeks. This free trial simply gives you a single bot that trades once per day over a 2-week window so you can see the technology in action firsthand.
What is included in the 2-week trial?
The free trial includes the ORB (Opening Range Breakout) trading bot, along with step-by-step instructions and training on how to download and set up the bot, create an NinjaTrader account, and connect everything to go live.
PLEASE NOTE: This trial does NOT include access to the full bot portfolio tools, account dashboard / trade copier or our other 7 trading bots.
How quickly can I get started?
Most members are up and running within 24 hours. We provide onboarding support to ensure you're comfortable with the platform before you start trading.
Can I customize the bot settings during the trial?
Yes, however, the free trial bot uses pre-configured settings for the ORB bot to keep things simple. Training on how to run optimizations, as well as the other bot portfolio tools are NOT available in the free trial version.
How many trades per day does the bot take?
The free trial ORB bot is designed for consistency, taking one trade per day based on strict technical criteria. In contrast, the MEGA ORB available in the full/paid version can take multiple trades per day, offering greater exposure and opportunity.
Can I run the bot on a live account or just sim?
During the free trial, it works with the NinjaTrader free trial in "simulation mode" (sim).
What platform do I need to run the bot?
You'll need NinjaTrader 8 running on a Windows operating system computer, which is free to use in simulation mode. We provide training on setting it up and connecting it to the NinjaTrader free trial data feed.
Can I run more than one bot during the trial?
The free trial is limited to a single bot (ORB) to give you a focused experience. Running multiple bots is NOT a feature of the free trial. However, you can run multiple instances of the ORB bot.
Why do I have to apply for the free trial?
The free trial uses our support resources and because we have traders from all experience levels, it helps us make sure you’re ready to get the most from the bots and that your setup (platform, time, goals, etc) is a good match before starting the 14-day trial.
